Trendsi review & Shopify fashion dropshipping guide

Trendsi is a fashion sourcing and dropshipping platform — not a store builder. You sell clothing on your own Shopify store; Trendsi ships the items to your customers. This guide covers how it works, what it really costs, and the sizing, returns and shipping issues that make fashion harder than selling phone cases or kitchen gadgets.

How we wrote this: an independently researched editorial guide based on Trendsi's official website and help center, checked 12 October 2026. It is not a hands-on review — we have not ordered Trendsi products or tested its fulfillment. Policies and prices change, so confirm details on the linked sources.

What is Trendsi?

Trendsi connects fashion suppliers with online sellers. It markets itself to Shopify and fashion retailers, with US-based suppliers, open-pack wholesale and made-to-order manufacturing alongside dropshipping.[source] When a customer buys a Trendsi product in your store, the order syncs to Trendsi, you pay the product cost, and Trendsi quality-checks and ships it.[source]

How it differs from general dropshipping: services like Zendrop cover broad product ranges. Trendsi concentrates on apparel and accessories, so its documentation deals with things general suppliers rarely need to — size charts, garment tags, and which clothing categories are final sale.

Why fashion is different: clothes have to fit. Sizes vary between brands, fabric looks different from photos, trends move quickly, and wrong-size returns are a normal part of the business. A supplier's return rules therefore matter far more than for most product types.

Trendsi features & capabilities

Fashion product sourcing

Trendsi sources from many brands and suppliers. Branded products show a brand name under the title and arrive with that brand's normal tags. Most overseas products are white label — unbranded with generic size and care tags — and show the supplier instead, which helps you find more items from the same source.[source] The pricing page advertises access to "40K+" products on the Free plan (Trendsi's own claim).[source]

Shopify integration

Connect during sign-up, through the Trendsi app in the Shopify App Store, or by adding a store under Connected Stores.[source] Orders sync to Trendsi automatically; Trendsi also offers a branded invoice with your logo, a message and your return policy.[source] The Free plan allows one store per account; Pro allows multi-store management.[source] You still own your Shopify shipping rates, policies and customer communication.

Dropshipping

You don't buy stock upfront. You pay for each order after your customer has paid you, and Trendsi ships it.[source] Your cash flow still has to cover the gap between paying Trendsi and receiving Shopify payouts.

Open Pack Wholesale

Unlike fixed size packs, Open Pack Wholesale lets you pick the sizes you want with a minimum of 6 units per color variant. Trendsi says per-piece cost is lower at that quantity, shipping from overseas takes 5–10 business days, and wholesale shipping starts at $19 per order. Not every product offers it.[source] Trendsi itself frames wholesale as a step after dropshipping has shown which products sell. Remember: wholesale orders are final sale.[source]

Private labeling & branding

Options include custom packaging, packing bags, sewn-in labels and hang tags. Sewn-in labels and hang tags are only for white-label apparel shipped from Trendsi's overseas warehouse; custom packaging applies to products from that warehouse. Eligible items show a "Label under your brand" tag.[source][source] You pay for materials (Trendsi says it adds no labor, storage or fulfillment fees), minimum quantity and price per piece are shown during setup, production takes about 10 business days, and new designs can only be created on the Trendsi.com desktop site.[source] The pricing page lists "advanced custom branding" as a Pro feature.[source]

Product samples

The Free plan lists sample ordering for any product,[source] and samples use the same shipping rates as dropship orders.[source] In fashion, samples are how you learn whether a "medium" is really a medium, whether the fabric is see-through, and how the colour compares to the photo — information you need before writing descriptions or running ads.

Trendsi pricing & costs

From the official pricing page, checked 12 October 2026. A higher-tier plan is also mentioned without a listed price. Trendsi says Pro can be cancelled before the next billing cycle.

Budget for: product cost per order · supplier shipping (by weight, see below) · samples · branding materials and minimums · non-refundable shipping on returns · Shopify subscription · marketing. Then enter real figures into the profit calculator.

Fashion-specific risks to plan for

Sizing and fit

• Trendsi says products are true to US sizing unless stated otherwise — important if you sell to the UK, EU or Australia, where size labels differ.[source]
• Size info comes as either product measurements (the finished garment) or size measurements (the body it fits). Tell customers which one they're reading.[source]
• Because items come from many brands and suppliers, a medium from one may fit differently from another. Don't copy one size chart across your store.
• Trendsi doesn't accept exchanges,[source] so "I need a bigger size" becomes a return plus a new order — decide how you'll handle that.

Product quality

• Trendsi says it has a quality control team checking products before shipping.[source] That isn't a guarantee you'll like the fabric — order samples.
• Photography can flatter colour, drape and thickness. Take your own photos from samples where possible.
• Write descriptions from the sample, not from assumptions.

Inventory and trends

• Fashion is seasonal; popular sizes and colours can sell out. Check stock before you scale ads on any item.
• Advertising a product that can't be fulfilled means cancellations, refunds and unhappy customers.
• With wholesale or private label minimums, you take on the unsold-stock risk that dropshipping avoids.

Trendsi return policy — and why yours must differ

Key points from Trendsi's return policy, checked 12 October 2026:[source]

• US only: only orders shipped to US customers are eligible; orders to customers outside the US aren't accepted for return.
• Condition: unworn clothing with original tags and clear garment packaging with the SKU label.
• Window: request within 7 days of delivery (from the final package on split orders) and ship back within 7 days of submitting.
• Fees: returns that don't meet the criteria may get a 20% restocking fee or be declined. Shipping and handling aren't refunded; return shipping is the customer's cost unless Trendsi made a shipping error or the item is damaged.
• No exchanges. Processing takes 5–7 business days after Trendsi receives the package.
• Final sale: beauty, bodysuits, face masks, intimates/lingerie, jewelry, swimwear and Open Pack Wholesale orders.
• Your refund: Trendsi refunds your original payment method; you issue your customer's refund in Shopify.

Trendsi shipping

Trendsi charges shipping by total order weight, and the average weight syncs to Shopify so you can set weight-based rates.[source] Standard rates for dropship and sample orders to US addresses when checked:

• Delivery time (US): 2–5 business days for US products, 5–10 for overseas products. Expedited and overnight shipping weren't available.[source]
• International: the shipping page lists many destinations, each with its own rates and longer estimates — for example 8–16 business days to Australia. Check your exact country.[source]
• Taxes: Trendsi notes imported orders over $800 per person per day may face extra US taxes, which are the retailer's responsibility. Other countries may charge customs or VAT too.[source]
• Remember: the US-only return policy means international customers can't return to Trendsi.

How to connect Trendsi to your Shopify store

Based on Trendsi's help center:[source]

1. In Shopify: have your store ready and be able to log in to its admin.
2. On Trendsi.com: sign up (the "Sign Up/Sign In" option, top right, when checked) and connect your Shopify store during sign-up.
3. If you skipped that: install the Trendsi app from the Shopify App Store, or in Trendsi go to Account → Connected Stores → Add New Shopify Store.
4. In Shopify: review and approve the permissions the app requests (standard for Shopify apps).
5. In Trendsi: choose products and import them.
6. In Shopify: edit titles, fit notes and size charts; set prices; group products into collections.
7. In Shopify: set shipping rates by weight using the synced weights.[source]
8. In Trendsi: decide between manual payment and auto checkout in Order Management settings.[source]
9. Test: place one real order (or a sample) end to end and confirm it syncs, ships and tracks correctly before advertising.
